Centraal Museum hosts a free zine workshop on 5 September. No experience is required, but exhibition admission is not included.
What you need to know
Museums train us to listen to explanations, yet rarely ask us to turn a private reaction into something another person can hold. On 5 September, Centraal Museum invites participants to translate themes from its Gerard van Honthorst exhibition into images, words and a small personal zine. Utrecht artist duo Collabsletten leads the session from 13:30 to 16:00, and the official description says no previous experience is needed. The workshop itself is free, but it does not include an exhibition visit; anyone wanting to see the Honthorst show first needs ordinary museum admission. Hokimi’s reason to book is not simply learning collage. The useful challenge is deciding which feeling, contradiction or memory deserves a page, then shaping it into a narrative that can be taken home and discussed.
